While growing up and working in his Father's restaurant, Chef Jason developed a passion for serving and creating great food. In pursuit of his interest, he first attended Culinary School at Johnson and Wales and graduated with honors, And then went to La Petit Auberge....perfecting his craft while working for Chef Christian Renault. He later became Sous Chef of Lake of the Woods Golf & Country Club, and Food & Beverage Director, Ramada Inn & Conference Center.
Another culinary notable in the family is Chef Jason's Grandfather, who, after retiring from The Central Intelligence Agency opened "The Egg an I" in Florida. For over 28 years, it has remaind Englewood's favorite breakfast restaurant. He also managed a Fishing Lodge in Costa Rica that boasts "the very best in Blue Marlin." Now, Chef Jason and his Grandfather have opened Marmalade, bringing their highly-reputed culinary skills to Lake Bowen and providing delicious choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
